What makes the ideal Sports and Leisure Business Broker?

Brokers come from diverse backgrounds, but in the main specialize as a broker in the industry in which they are familiar, usually having owned their own business at some point. 

They have an intermediate level of financial skills, but most of all are very customer focused, can develop rapport quickly, and conduct themselves in an honest and ethical manner. 

They must undergo the required accredited business training course in the state they wish to practice in, to become a licenced Real Estate Agent, Business Broker or Agents Representative.

They are results driven. A reasonable level of computer literacy is also required. All new starters will be mentored by an experienced business broker and will have to focus on developing a strong relationship with business owners in their industry category. 

How does a broker get remunerated?

At Australian Sports Brokers, everyone is rewarded on a retainer/commission basis. We know that the longer you work at this industry, the better you can get at it! We are seeking people who are committed to achieving success - long term people who can stay focused and thrive on a challenge. 

You'll also generate revenue to assist with your administration costs from;-

  • The creation of Business Profile documents,
  • Client retainer fees,
  • General consulting at an hourly rate.

As in any sales career, dedication, persistence, hard work, integrity, intelligence and customer focus are some of the essential qualities required to succeed. There is no luck or short cut to success. It is all about hard work, total dedication and focus!
